Oman REIT successfully completes two strategic acquisitions this quarter.
The first transaction consists of the acquisition of the Amity Private School Sharjah building under a sale leaseback transaction with a 40+ years NNN lease with Amity Group, one of the largest global educational operators. This marks the REIT’s first school and first cross-border acquisition.
The second acquisition consists of a Muscat based, mixed-use (residential, commercial and office) portfolio of 5 assets, running at near full occupancy which has been contributed to the REIT in-kind for a units consideration at par value.
These two strategic acquisitions are expected to further enhance the REIT’s returns, while further diversifying the REIT’s portfolio and improving cash-flow predictability, with an expected portfolio WAULT of 8+ years.
